When you give to Gentle House, you invest in the diversity of voices we all have access to. Residencies offer writers the opportunity, time, and support to finish projects. Help us fully fund our signature summer residency for two BIPOC poets to research, explore, and write. In keeping with our dedication to supporting diverse voices, residents will benefit from time to write in and in the foothills of a Unesco World Heritage Park with myriad microclimates and landscapes, lands that have been protected for centuries by Native American communities sharing museums and natural spaces like Cape Flattery in Neah Bay, the Jamestown and Lower Elwah River reservations. Port Angeles is the gateway to the Olympic National Park and a charming small town with a fabulous library, live arts organizations, bookstores, and more.
Your gift will help fund BIPOC writers who are just beginning their promising careers, who need time from their working lives or family responsibilities to complete major works. Be the light forward for an aspiring author!
We can support gifts through Donor Advised Funds, family trust, or a matching gift program. Please contact Kirsten Miles at 434-960-5193 or contact Kirsten Miles at kmiles@tupelopress.org.
